Campos leads services for small and micro-entrepreneurs in 2024 in the state of Rio de Janeiro in the ranking of rooms for entrepreneurs, supported by Sebrae in partnership with the municipalities. From January 2 to April 11, the municipality provided 3,800 services at the Espaço do Empreendedor, which operates on top of Rodoviária Roberto Silveira. Rounding out the top five municipalities in Rio de Janeiro are Niteroi (2,849), Petropolis (2,588), Macao (2,494) and Paraíba do Sul (2,247).
“A significant number indicates that the work proposed by Mayor Uladzimir Horatinyu is working very well. In his government plan, he promised to introduce more humanized services for micro and small entrepreneurs, with their own space where they could get all the guidance on how to set up their business, as well as training on how to manage their enterprise. Growth and recognition
One of the fruits of the work developed in the Space of Entrepreneurs was an increase in the number of individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEIs) in the Campus. From 2021 to 2023, the number of registrations with the Federal Tax Service jumped from 28,252 to 37,136 – an increase of 31% (read more below)
In March of this year, the City Hall of Campos was awarded the Sebrae Reference in Service Seal in the silver category in competition with 68 municipalities in Rio de Janeiro. Series of lectures
Throughout the year, the Economic Development Secretariat and Sebrae also jointly promote the Entrepreneurship and Growth: Path to Success lecture series aimed at MEIs and those interested in starting their own businesses.
