Governor Elmano de Freitas and Minister Alexander Padilla took part in the event

Governor Elmano de Freitas took part this Thursday (7) in the inauguration of the federal caravan of Cear. The event, which is aimed at municipal leaders and will continue until Friday (8) at the Ceara Event Center, was also attended by the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilla, and the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Education and the former governor of Ceara, Isolde Chela, as well as parliamentarians from Ceara.

The head of the state executive emphasized the importance of such closeness between the federal government and the provinces and municipalities. “I am very happy to see this new moment in Brazil. We are hand in hand to do more for our people. I think all the public expects from the leaders is that we can join forces to improve public health, improve public safety, improve public education,” the governor said.

The manager from Ceara emphasized that this policy of partnership, together with the municipalities, is already rooted in the development of public policy in Ceara. “Ceara has a history of cooperation, which is very important for public policy in the state of Ceara. Perhaps the most important sign of our success is this mode of cooperation, which, for example, has brought our education to where it is,” Elmana emphasized.

Before stopping at the Ceara Event Center, the action passed through five other states: Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Tocantins and Maranhão; and its purpose is to provide federal government services to the states.

Minister of Institutional Relations Alexander Padilla emphasized the desire of the federal government to be so close to the states and municipalities. “This is a provision requested by President Lula, so that the Brasilia group leaves Brasilia and goes to a group that really needs it. This is the moment when Brasilia leaves the cabinet and comes with its ministries, public companies in partnership with the state government to be together with the municipalities,” explained the minister. More than 30 ministries are present at the Ceara Event Center to resolve disputes with municipal leaders.

Friendship success

The Federal Caravan is an initiative of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations of the Presidency of the Republic and is aimed at promoting greater integration between federal, state and municipal administrations, creating a channel of communication and ensuring cooperation in actions. Managers from 184 municipalities in Ceará will be able to find the representation of ministries, state banks and other federal bodies in one place, facilitating dialogue and solving unresolved issues for partnership.

Sear had over 2,000 consultations by 5pm that first day alone. The National Secretary for Institutional Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic, Andre Ceciliano, thanked the state government for its support and highlighted the success of the Ceara Federal Caravan on the first day.

“So far, at the end of the day, we have already provided more than 2,000 services and more than 150 municipalities have registered. More than 2,400 people have already passed here. The Ceara federal caravan is a success,” the secretary noted. By the 5th caravan, the federal government provided 15,000 services and served 1,600 Brazilian municipalities.

The desire to restore

Representing the Ministry of Education of Camilo Santana, former Governor and MEC Executive Secretary Isolde Sella emphasized the Union’s commitment to the recovery of Brazil and its social policy based on rapprochement with those at the forefront, the municipalities.

“We follow a policy of rapprochement and rapprochement with states and municipalities, which is to carry out this work of reconstruction and hard work,” Isolde concluded. Senator Augusta Britto and Assembly Speaker Evandra Leighton also attended the event.
