Fiat Mobi has reached an important milestone, reaching 500,000 units produced exclusively in Betim, Greater Belo Horizonte, thus supplying the country and neighboring markets.
Herlander Zola, Senior Vice President of Fiat South America, comments: “Mobi is proof that size is not a document. Reaching the half-million mark is proof that despite being a compact car, it has a gigantic spirit.”
Zola adds: “Since its launch, the Mobi has been a good choice for those looking for an economical, practical and stylish car. This is evident in the number of its sales, as it has always been one of the best-selling cars in Brazil.”
Launched in 2016, the Fiat Mobi is a subcompact that was developed locally with components from other models of the brand and thus came to the market with space for five people, although it is suitable for four.
With a small boot of 156 litres, the Mobi is very urban and one of the favorites of application drivers, and also guarantees economy thanks to the Fire 1.0 8V engine with 71 horsepower on petrol and 74 horsepower on ethanol in addition to a manual gearbox.
The Mobi already had the 1.0 6V Firefly 3 cylinder engine and was also offered with the GSR-Comfort automatic transmission, however it lost these components and reverted to the old engine.
With nearly 52,000 units sold in 2023, the Mobi ranks sixth among cars, being a car that is also accepted in neighboring Latin America with 12 Latin American countries.
According to the Vehicle Labeling Program, with a gas mileage of 15 km/l, the Mobi can travel 700 km on a full tank, which is also a good advantage for those who drive a small Fiat on a daily basis.
More than 6,000 Mobi were registered in September, making it Fiat’s second best-selling model today.
