A team of United Airlines flight attendants demonstrated how they use a simple strategy to avoid flight delays: coffee. Early morning flights and mornings after red-eye flights are fueled by this drink, but making decent coffee on the plane is a challenge.
The difficulty lies in the use of water from aircraft tanks, which are not always cleaned with adequate frequency. In addition, the pressure in the cabin at altitude also affects the quality of the drink. In addition to this, the airline coffee selection may not be ideal.
Even when United Airlines uses the famous Illy coffee, the water and brewing conditions still affect its quality. Despite the challenges of offering a pleasant coffee to passengers on board, This drink has become an important tool for solving other problems during the flight and even preventing it from becoming an unhappy experience.
hey @united – I paid almost 3 thousand dollars for this “luxury” business class, where I had to sit next to a woman who vomited on her table during the 8 hour flight. She refused to use the vomit bag provided and I was told I could not transfer #unitedAIRLINES pic.twitter.com/17nxRRRJc8

An example of this was when a United Airlines passenger threw up in business class and was given a bag of coffee grounds to put on her face to mask the bad smell. In another instance, a post on Network X (formerly Twitter) shows the team handing coffee to the remains of vomit on the floor.
The creativity of American Airlines crew members was also evident when they used coffee grounds to mask the strong odor coming from the plane’s bathroom. This strategy is so important that in one extreme case, British Airways had to cancel a flight from Dubai to London because of a bad smell in the bathroom.
From this, it is clear that coffee not only helps passengers stay awake and feel comfortable during the flight, but has also become a valuable tool for solving unforeseen problems on board.
Vomiting while boarding?? No problem!! Do it right here on your satellites! Pour the coffee and we’re practically on time!! #united #unitedairlines pic.twitter.com/kiHNQCjDUj
