Nadorcott Protection launches legal action against another major UK supermarket

Nadorcott Protection (NCP) has taken legal action against another major retail trade from Great Britain. This is the second case that NCP has brought in the UK courts against the unauthorized exploitation of Tango/Tang Gold mandarins.

The NCP previously launched proceedings against Sainsbury’s in January 2024. The dispute was settled in October 2024 and Sainsbury’s withdrew Tang Gold from sale pending the outcome of further proceedings against Tang Gold and Nadorcott.

This new infringement case marks a re-invigoration of NCP’s efforts to protect its rights to the Nadorcott variety, particularly with regard to the unauthorized exploitation of Tango/Tang Gold tangerines.

NCP will continue to protect its exclusive rights in Nadorcott and reserves the right to take all necessary steps to prevent unauthorized use of its intellectual property in all relevant jurisdictions.
