Congresswoman Norma Yarrow (Popular Renewal) asked the Oversight Commission before the plenary session to request the authority to investigate a cosmetic surgery operation she performed In Bolwart in mid-2023. and which was confirmed by Alberto Atarola, former president of the Council of Ministers.
On December 4, Yarrow sent a letter to Juan Burgos, the president of the audit service, requesting the authority of the full board of inquiry for a one-time period of 90 working days.

“(To) investigate the circumstances under which the President of the Republic Dino Ercilia Boluarte Zegara underwent a surgical procedure on June 28 and July 10, 2023, as it became known at the extraordinary session of the commission on December 3”Yarrow said.
Norma Yarrow requests powers of inquiry from the Commission to Oversight Operation Dina Boluarte.
In his request, the parliamentarian assures that he has the support of Renovación Popular.
This Wednesday, Juan Burgas (Podemos Peru) announced that he will put to a vote in the commission an agenda proposal to request the powers of the commission of inquiry within 60 working days.
In doing so, he hopes the Congressional Oversight Commission will be able to assess whether there was any constitutional violation or criminal liability on the part of President Dina Bolluarte for having cosmetic surgery in mid-2023 without notifying Parliament.

The conducted investigation will make it possible to determine, according to the parliamentarian, political, constitutional, civil, criminal, administrative responsibility and the necessary recommendations.
“In order to investigate the alleged resignation and vacuum of the unconstitutional presidential government as a result of the cosmetic surgery operation carried out on the President of the Republic Dino Ersilia Boluarte Zegarro and against those responsible”Burgos said.
