On Monday, Lula meets with Rui Costa, Haddad, Padilla and government leaders

The President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will meet this Monday, the 11th, with ministers and heads of government in Congress. This week will be crucial for advancing the agenda of the Palacio do Planalto in the legislature.

It is possible to vote on a number of important projects for the economic team, such as tax reform and measures to increase revenues and thus try to eliminate the deficit of the government accounts.

Ministers Fernando Haddad (Finance), Rui Costa (Casa Civil) and Alexander Padilla (Institutional Relations) will attend the meeting at Palacio do Planalto at 9:30.

The heads of government will also be present in the Chamber, José Guimarães (PT-CE), in the Senate, Jacques Wagner (PT-BA), and in Congress, Randolph Rodríguez (No party-AP).

The voting calendar in Congress will be busy as parliamentarians are twelve days away from recess and the 2024 budget is still awaiting approval.

The issuance of amendments, taking into account the political dissatisfaction of deputies and senators, will be fundamental.

At 11 a.m., Lula will take part in the presentation of the “National Plan for Visible Streets: For the Right to the Future of the Homeless” at the Palacio do Planalto.

At 15.00 the President of the Republic will meet with Rui Costa and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira.
