According to the court’s analysis, the Ministry of Transport did not prove that it used data from the Land Transport Plan
The Federal Court of Audit (TCU) says the federal government allocated 80 billion reais to road projects with little or no impact under the new PAC. According to the court’s analysis, the Ministry of Transport did not prove that it used information from the Land Transport Plan (TLTP) when selecting projects.
The PSTT was established under the Federal Executive to identify the basic requirements and actions necessary for the development of the national transportation system.
“Most of the road projects presented in the New PAC have little impact or have not even been evaluated by the current planning, amounting to about R$80 billion between private and public projects,” the TCU report noted.
The survey also revealed low transparency and lack of public participation in the preparation of the project portfolio.
The court set a deadline of 180 days for the ministry, together with the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, to present a motivated justification for the inclusion of each logistical investment in the new PAC.
