This Tuesday (24) Jornal Nacional publishes BOMB news about salaries

William Bonner and Renato Vasconcellos shared important information in Jornal Nacional

O National newspaper reported the vote that took place this Tuesday, October 24, in the Committee on Economic Affairs of the Senate. Several workers will be affected and need to be aware of what is happening.

This is because the vote is for raising wages in 17 sectors of the economy. The current one, according to William Bonner and Renata Vasconcellos, runs until December. Now on the agenda is the extension of the measure until 2027.

As a result, these 17 sectors will be allowed to replace 20% of social security contributions from wages with installments ranging from 1% to 4.5% of gross income. This would be a labor cost reduction mechanism for the business community.

Given the extension, as noted by Jornal Nacional, the aim of the measure will be to stimulate the country’s economic growth, including increasing the number of hires using the Labor Law Consolidation Model, CLT.

The sectors are diverse: transport, textile industry, telecommunications, civil engineering and a number of others, which employ almost 9 million professionals. The news shows that entrepreneurs and trade union leaders are counting on the extension of the measure.
